Dr. James Lewerenz is a Board Certified Physician in Family Practice. He did his residency in Family/General Practice and Emergency Medicine at Garden City Hospital, Beaumont Hospital, and Henry Ford Hospital. He received his degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (now known as A.T. Still University) in Kirksville, Missouri. He is an active staff physician at Beaumont Hospital, Botsford Hospital, and St. John Hospital.

Dr. Lasater received his BA degree in Biomedical Engineering from Rice University in Houston, Texas in 1975 and his MD from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas in 1979. He then completed a Family Medicine residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa (affiliated with the University of Iowa College of Medicine) and is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Medicine, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
